Green Juice Recipe

3 years ago, I gave up on coffee. I am a busy mother of a 3 year old, yoga instructor and entrepreneur. Even without caffeine any longer, I’m still keen on a morning pick me up! Just as powerful as a cup of coffee, a green juice never lets me down. Green juice is a super healthy, tasty way of getting greens down. This nutrient packed recipe is an invigorating way to start your day.

This recipe uses a good amount of kale. Packed with calcium and antioxidants, kale is great for your body and mind. When juiced with lemon, apple, ginger and refreshing mint, kale makes for a refreshing ‘grassy’ lemonade.

Make Your Green Juice

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of kale
  • 1 lemon, skin and pith removed
  • 1 large apple, roughly chopped
  • 2.5cm piece of fresh ginger
  • 1 sprig of fresh mint

Run through a juicer. Don’t have one? A blender and a strainer work just as well.
